In Australia, Federal Government records become public forty years after date of creation. As part of this process, the Cabinet records for 1977 have just been released by the National Archives. As part of the release process, Archives prepares an on-line guide, here.
In 1977 I was a section head in Treasury, so the rolling releases are starting to make me feel a little ancient since I was actually there!
The on-line documents are only partial, a selection, but they still provide interesting insights into the past.
